We finally caved, and got the obligatory red-and-yellow car that it seems everyone has or remembers having from their own childhood. The problems with this are two-fold.
1. Lucas already knew about this car, because grandma has one.
2. My wife decided we should build it while he was awake.
Yeah, this was easy to do with him right in the middle.
Or, even better, inside of it. Hard to use a hammer or mallet at this point.
Hard to turn this cute face away, though...and the excitement was more than we had seen in his whole life to this point.
Of course, when it's finished, you have to kick back.
...enjoy the atmosphere....
...and smile at a job well done.
