A Day at the Zoo

On a VERY warm day, we decided to see how Lucas would like the St. Louis Zoo.

 

At first, he was a little unsure...

 

A little shocked at how large the elephants were...

 

...and VERY intrigued at all the moving animals.

 

He was more concentrated on the other kids than the 2 ton hippo right in front of his face...

 

...and his own reflection more than just about anything.

 

Of course, the penguin house was a different story...

 

...and got a little surprised when one of them splashed him.

  

Of course, he wanted to chase after the splasher.

 

And then wanted to take one home. They frown on that, by the way.

 Of course, he was more concerned with quenching his thirst.

 

Then, we got to the stingrays.

 

He didn't know what was going on at first.

 

Then, he watched them swim by for a bit...

 

Then, he got the hang of it.

 

Mommy did a good job keeping him from falling in.

  

Yeah, I'd say the Zoo was a hit.
