The First Christmas Tree

So, it's Erin's family's tradition to go tree cutting and get a real tree for Christmas. Growing up with fake trees due to allergies, I was still adapting to this new way of celebrating. Lucas, however, adapted pretty well.

Of course, he had to spend the day attached to his mother, which he seemed okay with at first.

That was, of course, until he met with his arch-nemesis, the sun.

Of course, once we got on the truck to get to the tree lot, Mom used her superpowers to prevent further sun attacks. Lucas was forever grateful, and immediately dropped plans to eliminate his mother in an attempt to move up the food chain.

Ahhh, the tree. Great hoodie, right?

A better picture of us, as the sun interfered with the tree pic.

The first of millions of "Let's Make Our Kid Look Ridiculous" cutout photos.

Lucas spied kids with hot chocolate, and became instantly jealous.

Of course, by the end of the day, he seemed pretty content just to be with Mom. Good day.
